Have you ever felt that empty feeling inside wondering that there must be more, and you then continue to push yourself wondering... What is Enough? Why do you always push yourself to do more? Why are you always chasing more? What makes you feel that you are not enough or not doing enough? -Not getting enough sleep -Not enough exercise/poor diet -Not keeping a clean and clutter-free home -Not getting through your to-do list -Not keeping up with friends or learning new things Sometimes our lives can feel incomplete, like there’s something missing or something we’ve overlooked. If only we knew what that “something” was. We have a sense that enough is not enough and crave some “unknown” to make us whole. We can mask these feelings with constant activity, shopping, drinking, a variety of other addictions, or using social media but ultimately, we find that it’s just covering over and not getting to the root cause of this empty feeling. We want more, but of what? Maybe a greater connection with others, maybe a sense of peace, maybe the satisfaction of a job well done or maybe knowing that all is in divine order proceeding as it should be. The worst thing we can do is look through social media and compare our lives to the fabricated stories posted. You push yourself to work harder, step up, put things into motion and hit the ground running to get “there,” but truly do not have any idea of where “there” is. Do You Suffer From FOMO? FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) has become a common social anxiety as though someone somewhere is having the life we wished for. There is however a simple solution to help fill those voids and fill the gaps if you want to try. Take the following steps: ' -Stop -Breathe -Let your thoughts flow in and out. -Look around and be grateful for all you are, and what you have. -Believe in yourself & trust that you are enough. -Trust that you are surrounded by all you need. -Allow yourself to find that quiet calm at your core. -Schedule time daily to pause, breathe and be grateful. -Allow your thoughts to flow freely. You will find increasing peace and fulfillment. You will need nothing more to feel complete and everything else will be a bonus. Connect with a sense of wholeness not only in you but in everything. Life isn’t perfect but it can be beautiful when you feel complete as a person and connected to your life. Allow yourself to feel whole and know that you are more than enough. Trust that you have nothing missing. Be excited about just being and take that feeling with you wherever you go.
